Here at Journ our ethos is all about simplifying your morning routine. After all, we’re busy parents and working people just like you. The trouble is so many of the beauty routines we see on social media just aren’t realistic for those of us with busy lifestyles. With Journ color correctors there’s no need to skip on wearing makeup altogether, especially as they allow you to correct your imperfections while helping improve them, so that you can look naturally flawless with minimal effort involved.
However, in today’s post, we will be going one step further as we share with you how you can use your color correctors in different ways. So, get your Correct & Perfect ready as we show you how simple it is!
As moisturizer is applied all over the face, this makes it ideal to pair some of Journ’s products with if you have large areas of concern you are trying to conceal. The great thing about our color correctors is that they are super concentrated meaning only a tiny amount is needed to do the job. We’ve selected Dew and Alpenglow to demonstrate how easy they blend with a moisturizer.
First of all, here’s what each of our two moisturizer-friendly color correctors will do:
Dew: Suitable for anyone with redness in their skin that they’d like to neutralize. Dew color corrects and hydrates while helping protect, soothe and reduce the appearance of redness from irritation over time.
We used Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré to mix both products. The great thing about this moisturizer is that it’s rich and hydrating and is a great base for makeup. You’ll often see Embryolisse moisturizers used backstage at fashion shows because it works well for all skin types.
In terms of Journ’s color correctors, the two formulations blend seamlessly to pair rich hydration with color correction. All you need is a tiny amount mixed on the back of your hand. The warmth of your skin will encourage the pigment to mix evenly ready to be applied on your face.
Eye Cream Multitask
The eye area is a unique area of our face colorwise as we tend to see tones we don’t find anywhere else on the skin. An example is dark circles, redness or even purple/bluish tones. However, reach for any concealer and you’ll notice it’s flesh-colored. While concealers are still useful, they don’t go in and neutralize tones. So for those of us with discoloration of any sort around the eye area, using a color corrector to neutralize first will make a huge difference. A bright under eye is one of the quickest ways to look rejuvenated, fresher and ultimately younger.
Here are the two Journ color correctors we suggest for mixing with your eye cream:
Marrakech: A rich terracotta hue that will neutralize dark circles on medium to deep skin tones. It’s formulated with sweet almond, carrot seed, and rose. In combination with your eye cream, you’ll benefit from the added skincare within all Journ formulations that simultaneously color corrects.
Kauai: Similar to Marrakech, Kauai will neutralize the appearance of dark circles and hyperpigmentation and is suitable for light to medium skin tones. Kauai is formulated with white lily, kukui nut, and noni. These ingredients work in tandem to brighten the skin and reduce the signs of aging.
Once applied, if you see a tint of pigment, a quick touch of the foundation that’s leftover on your beauty blender or makeup brush just to the eye area should do the trick.
To Sum Up
We hope you’ll enjoy experimenting with Journ products to make them work for you. After all, no two faces are the same as we all have unique skin tones and concerns. Unlike regular makeup, Journ allows you to customize the color correction and level of coverage you need. What’s more, you can either choose to use a color corrector on its own or mix it with your skincare. This will not only speed up your routine but provide widespread neutralization across the entire face. You can also apply your custom mix to select areas of the face only making this method super versatile.
